Halloween or Hallowe’en (a contraction of All Hallows’ Evening),also known as All Hallows’ Eve is a celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day and the Reformation Day. It begins the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed.

It is widely believed that many Halloween traditions originated from Celtic harvest festivals that may have pagan roots, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain, and that this festival was Christianized as Halloween. Some academics, however, support the view that Halloween began independently as a solely Christian holiday. Wherever it came from, we love to dress up!

What is the color run ?

The Color Run is entirely a „Fun Run“ – a worldwide series of a very special kind of running event, filled with happiness and color. The Color Run isn’t about being the fastest or achieving exceptional performances. This run is all about the fun. It’s running – simply without the time pressure but with a huge amount color that is being thrown around at the different gates in different colors. The distance is a total of 5km and there are a couple of gates spread throughout the course.
