What is the color run ?
The Color Run is entirely a „Fun Run“ – a worldwide series of a very special kind of running event, filled with happiness and color. The Color Run isn’t about being the fastest or achieving exceptional performances. This run is all about the fun. It’s running – simply without the time pressure but with a huge amount color that is being thrown around at the different gates in different colors. The distance is a total of 5km and there are a couple of gates spread throughout the course.

My Impressions
These pictures are from the 2014 edition, it is a very colorful experience as even when you are not right next to the runners, you will end up looking like a rainbow puked on you, as did I! It did start to rain half way through the afternoon which, to me surprise, did not turn away many runners and most pressed on! If you are in Luxembourg around the time of the color run, you should participate or at least go visit, you won’t regret it!
What Gear did I use?
Due to the enormous amounts of colored sand being thrown around, I reduced by gear to a bare minimum and tried to protect it as much as possible with a homemade cover.
